Aadhaar cleanup: UIDAI disables 1.2 crore dead IDs; 100+ age cases under scan
To prevent misuse, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has deactivated approximately 1.2 crore Aadhaar numbers of deceased individuals, utilizing death records from 24 states and Union Territories. A new service on the myAadhaar portal allows family members to report a death.
